The Original

Some things don't need improving. They just need doing properly.

The Original is our first trunk and the reason Gattrell Brown exists. It's cut from 100% cotton, with no polyester or nylon blended into the fabric. It's the underwear we always wanted to find on a shelf but never could, so we made it ourselves.

The fit is clean and considered. Not too long, not too short. Enough support without restriction. The kind of trunk you put on in the morning and forget about, which is exactly how underwear should feel.

Cotton is breathable, so it lets air and moisture through instead of holding warmth against you, and it gets softer every time you wash it. The only stretch is a little elastane in the waistband, which keeps it up and sits at your waist, away from the most sensitive skin. Just cotton, cut well and priced fairly.

Pure cotton has less stretch than synthetic blends, so it holds its shape without squeezing. True to size; if you're between sizes, we'd suggest sizing up.

Machine wash at 30–40°C with similar colours, and wash darker colours separately the first few times. Line dry where you can, or tumble dry on low — cotton can shrink slightly with high heat. Don't bleach. Warm iron if needed. It gets softer with every wash.

Unworn items in their original, unopened packaging can be returned within 14 days of delivery, and return postage is paid by you. For hygiene reasons, we can't accept underwear that's been opened or tried on.
